I buy used non-working laptop computers and restore them to working systems. I can configure the computer to the needs of the buyer by adding software and installing additional or different hardware as requested.

• When Windows 7 Profressional or Windows 7 Home Premium is installed, the disk used for the installation may not have matched the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on the computer. You may need to reactivate the operating systeming using that computer's COA Key after you purchase the computer.
• When Windows XP Professional is installed, the disk used for the installation may not have matched the Windows XP Professional Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) found on the bottom of the computer. You may need to reactivate the operating system using that computer's COA Key after you purchase the computer.
• When Windows 8 Consumer Preview is installed, you can use the operating system as it exists until January 15, 2013. The Consumer Preview expires on that date and you will have to install a different operating system or buy the available Windows 8 Activation Key that may be offered at that time.
• Ubuntu 11.10 is a free Linux operating system and you may continue to use it without a need to purchase a Windows Operating System.
• Windows 7 works on any of these computers except the iBook G4

Typically, the computer I purchased was advertised as "not working" and offered for "parts or repair". This means that many times the computer did not have a hard disk, was missing the power charger, may not have had a working battery, or had limited or no memory installed. I purchased the necessary laptop charging units, added a working hard disk drive, and when necessary, added memory to each system. If the computer had something wrong with it such as missing key-tops, broken screen, missing DVD-Drive, power port broken, or other problems, I repaired or replaced the problem components and installed an operating system (Windows XP, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, or Ubuntu), to test the computer to make sure everything is now working. Since most of the computers are 4 to 5 years old, most were designed to work with Windowx XP or Windows Vista. If the computer had an authorization sticker for the operating system, I installed the appropriate system that corresponded to the original operating system. In cases where there was no operating system sticker, I installed the free operating system: Ubuntu. Ubuntu has many of the same kinds of programs and capabilities of Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows 7, without the cost. The cost of installing a new version of Windows 7 Home Premium is about $100.00 per computer. If that is the operating system you would like installed (and the computer is capable of supporting it) I can install a new copy of that system for you and configure it with the latest updates before delivering or sending the computer to you.

Note: The cost of additional software and hardware is not included in the base computer prices shown. Also, installation of additional software or hardware changes will require more handling time before the system is ready for you. However, this will provide you with a nicely working system configured to your needs.)

Local delivery and setup can be arranged. I can install your software on the sytem you buy and set it up to run with your system if you have a network. I will charge reasonable rates for these services. I can also purchase the necessary hardware for you (at cost) and set up a wired or wireless network that will work with your internet service, existing computers, and the computer you purchase.

Shipping costs are extra and typically cost $25.00 to $40.00 for USPS Parcel Post or Priority Mail.
